Permanent Positions
Finnish Fur Sales has 100 full-time, permanent employees. 85 of these year-round staff members work at our main facilities in Vantaa, Finland. The other 15 are stationed in the most important farming and buying countries throughout the world.
The staff in Vantaa work in different sectors including fur sorting and grading, warehousing, marketing, sales, accounting and financing, communications, and security. The average age of our permanent staff members in Vantaa is 45, and the average time spent with the company is 15 years.
Temporary Positions
In addition to our permanent staff, we also employ a large number of temporary staff.
The sorting period for fur skins runs from November to May, and FFS employs more than 200 additional people during this period. We train and educate these staff members about the different work phases in the sorting process, and many of them return to our team year after year.
Auction Assistant Vacancies at Every Auction
During each auction, Finnish Fur Sales offers job opportunities to nearly 200 auction assistants. Their task is to assist international fur buyers as they inspect the skins in our warehouse just before the actual selling takes place.
This employment lasts from a few days to a week and may be repeated throughout the year during each of our 4-6 annual auctions.
